Age Restriction

It is against the law in the UK to sell or supply alcoholic beverages to anyone under the age of 18.  By placing an order with La Tranquera you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

Prices

Prices on this website are expressed in pounds sterling inclusive of UK VAT at the prevailing rate where appropriate. Food items are not subject to UK VAT.

If we discover a pricing error we will either: contact you and ask if you wish to cancel your order or continue with the order at the correct price; or notify you that we have cancelled your order. We will not be obliged to supply goods at the incorrect price.

Availability

We try to keep our stock information up to date but occasionally we may be unable to fulfil an order due to an out of stock situation. In this case we will contact you to offer an alternative product or a refund. Vintages may vary from those shown on the website.

We reserve the right to cancel any orders we cannot fulfil for any reason. If your order is cancelled we will contact you to explain why and we will refund any payment paid.

Payment

We never see your Credit or Debit Card details as our payments are processed by SagePay using the latest Internet security and fraud prevention tools: http://www.sagepay.com/security_policy

We also accept payment via bank-to-bank transfer; this is becoming increasingly popular with customers who use online banking. You do not have to reveal your bank or card details to anyone and your payment will not be rejected for security reasons. Please e-mail us if you would like to pay using bank-to-bank transfer.

We offer a free gift to customers paying over £75 by Debit Card or Bank Transfer as these methods are cheaper for us and and we think it correct to pass on these savings. The value of the free gift will increase in relation to the amount spent on the transaction.

Delivery

Due to licensing restrictions we can only deliver within the UK.

In line with our transparency policy we do not incorporate delivery costs into our prices as we think it unfair that customers who spend more with us should subsidise those who spend less.

Our standard delivery charge for mainland UK excluding the Highlands of Scotland is £10.62.

Our standard delivery charge for the Highlands of Scotland is £23.22.

There is no VAT on deliveries that only contain food items and we are pleased to pass on this saving and reduce our standard delivery charges to £8.85 and £19.35 respectively. Please select the relevant option from the dropdown box when checking out.

Unfortunately delivery charges to the Islands of Scotland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands are prohibitively expensive but please contact us via e-mail for a quotation if you are interested.

Provided we have the items in stock we aim to deliver within 3 working days of receiving your order but during busy periods we could take up to 7 working days.

Our courier will send you an automated e-mail with a link allowing you to track your delivery.

Proof of Delivery

A signature is required to confirm delivery and verify the contents and condition of the goods. We cannot accept liability for any loss or damage to goods once they have been delivered and signed for.

Unfortunately we are unable to specify delivery times but our courier normally delivers between 9am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday. If you will not be able to receive delivery on a particular day please advise us and we try our best to avoid it. If nobody will be at home to accept delivery please provide your work address or you can leave instructions at checkout for the delivery to be left with a neighbour.

Local Delivery

We are pleased to offer free local delivery for orders over £10 once a week within the following postcodes: CB1 CB2 CB3 CB4 CB5 CB23 CB24 PE27 PE28 PE29.

Minimum Order

We do not impose a minimum order size but to get best value from our fixed delivery charges you may wish to combine smaller orders with friends, family or colleagues.

It really helps us to maintain our costs and reduce breakages if you can order wines in multiples of 6 mixed bottles whenever possible.

We are investigating cheaper delivery options for smaller orders and should these become available we will advise you before taking payment.

Order Confirmation

Your order will be confirmed via e-mail and we will also send you an e-mail to advise you when your order has been dispatched.

Cancellation

You may cancel your order up to 7 working days after receiving delivery provided you notify us in writing. We will refund the cost of the goods and delivery within 30 days.

Once the goods have been delivered you have a statutory duty to take reasonable care of them throughout the cancellation period e.g. you may open the outer packaging carefully to examine the goods but you must not use them or damage them in any way.

If you cancel your order you are responsible for returning the goods to us at your own cost and should insure them against damage or loss during transit in line with your statutory duty to take reasonable care of the goods.

Breakages

If any items are broken or damaged on delivery please make a note on the courier’s delivery papers or handheld device and inform us via e-mail as soon as possible. We will either refund the cost of the broken items or arrange a replacement at your discretion.

If possible please supply a photo of any breakages to allow us to follow up with our courier.

Quality

We hope you will enjoy our products but if they do not meet your quality expectations please contact us via e-mail and we will either refund the cost of the defective items or arrange a replacement at your discretion. We may wish to arrange return of any defective items to allow us to follow up with our suppliers.

Packaging

Wherever possible we re-use original packaging in order to help maintain our costs and reduce environmental impact. Please re-use or re-cycle our packaging if possible.

Matters Beyond Our Control?

We will not be liable for any delay or failure to meet our obligations due to a cause beyond our reasonable control.
